Julie was born and raised in Indiana, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University. She moved to Chicago, received her Master of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago, and began working in child welfare, where she met her husband, Ramon, also a social worker. They moved to Downers Grove in 2006 and now have four boys – Gabriel, 7th grade, Noah, 5th grade, Ben, 2nd grade, and Evan, kindergarten. Julie is a NICU social worker at Christ hospital, and also completing home studies for foster care as an independent contractor. This is her final year serving as VP of Ways and Means. Previously she has been involved in volunteering with book fairs, room parties, class picnics, and served as President for two years.
